Programs for Families

The Met is committed to providing learning and engagement opportunities for our youngest audiences. Our annual Family Open Houses, held both during the holiday season and in the spring, invite children to participate in hands-on activities and demonstrations led by members of the Met’s backstage and artistic staff. Opening Act, a program of weekend workshops for children ages 4–8, provides a more structured introduction to operatic storytelling through movement and play.
