Korean Friends of the Metropolitan Opera
A Message from Your Patron Chairman
The Korean Friends of the Met is a vibrant community of opera enthusiasts in Korea and beyond, dedicated to supporting and elevating the voices of Korean talent. Together, we honor the profound impact of Korean artists on the evolution of opera and work to ensure their continued presence and influence on the global stage. We invite you to join our community today.
Members are invited to exclusive annual events hosted in Seoul and New York.
This fall, we launched the Korean Friends of the Met with a private dinner and concert in Seoul featuring Kathleen Kim and Lawrence Brownlee, accompanied by Katelan Trần Terrell on piano. The concert was followed by a Master class for top Korean students from across Seoul with Lawrence Brownlee.
This winter in New York City, members enjoyed a private tour of the opera house, a members-only dinner, and extraordinary performances featuring today's greatest voices, including SeokJong Baek, Lawrence Brownlee, Andrzej Filończyk, Hyona Kim, Lisette Oropesa, Ailyn Pérez, and many more.
Whether you are a frequent visitor to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York or considering joining us for the first time, your donation makes a significant impact. I sincerely thank you for your consideration and support!
