Talks & Events Archive: Porgy and Bess

November 20 | 7PM
Selections from Porgy and Bess co-presented with The Jewish Museum
The Jewish Museum’s Exhibition Galleries

Join us for a performance from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. This musical activation in the Jewish Museum’s newly installed collection galleries is inspired by themes in artist Jonathan Horowitz’s installation, “‘Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century’ plus ninety-two more,” (2020). A brief talkback on the relationship between Horowitz’s work and Gershwin’s opera will take place following the performance.
